KNOW WHY CONSTRUCTION SITES ARE WRAPPED WITH GREEN CLOTHES INSTEAD OF ANY OTHER COLOUR !

You might have seen green-colored clothes wrapped around the building that is under construction. Have you ever imagined why this is done? Why only green coloured cloth is selected? Why not any other colour? In the following article, we will discuss the reason behind this.

The green cloth that is wrapped on buildings is also known as a safety net. Following are the reasons for wrapping it:

1.) Safety reasons: It is used as a covering to prevent any construction material from falling outside the site and causing any damages.

2.) Reduces dust: They reduce the dust coming out of the construction site. These clothes are sprayed with water when high dust work is ongoing onsite so the dust gets stuck in the wet cloth and a comparatively reduced amount spreads in the air.

3.) Cuts down sunrays: The green color of the cloth cuts down the sunrays to the structure resulting in better absorption of water in the walls during curing of the structure.

4.) Alert the public: People who are passing by become cautious of a construction site around, can take care of safety measures required.

5.) Prevents distraction: Construction team working can be kept away from getting deviated from what's happening around. The cloth allows air to circulate around, remains breathable.

6.) Suspense: Project's architectural look can be hidden till it is fully completed and open for all, a little suspense is always delightful.
You will definitely have the question that why black is not used instead of green. This is because green is easily visible from a distance compared to white or black. Apart from this, it also reflects on a little light.

So, now you know the reason behind the green clothes on construction sites. If you have any other reason, feel free to mention that in the comment box. Thank you for reading the article.

KNOW WHY THERE IS A CUT IN PIN OF ELECTRIC PLUG !

Things that we see in our day-to-day life might look quite normal to us but there is some logic behind the way it is. One such thing is the cut that we see on the pin of the electric plug. Let's know the reason behind this cut on the pins of the electric plug.

The cut that you see is only present on the pins manufactured from brass. Pins manufactured from aluminum do not have this cut. Sometimes brass is coated with nickel to prevent it from rusting, as a result, these pins look like steel.

The reason for providing this cut is effective heat dissipation. As brass is a good conductor of heat it gets heated due to continuous current flow. This may result in the expansion of the pin, due to which ejection of the plug may become difficult. The cut provided in the pin increases the surface area and hence results in faster dissipation of heat.

Another reason for this cut is that in case of expansion due to heat, this provides a margin for the expanded part to accommodate. Also, a cut in pin makes pins slightly flexible in thickness and allows it to fit in the socket properly.

Some local manufactures of plugs do not provide this cut, it is suggested not to use them. So, now you know the reason behind the cut in pins of an electric plug. If you have any other reason, feel free to mention that in the comment box. Thank you for reading the article.

KNOW WHY DOORS OF PUBLIC TOILET ARE NOT TILL THE FLOOR !

When using a public restroom, you might have noticed that the doors don’t touch the floor. This seems odd, considering that most people want privacy when relieving themselves. Have you ever thought about the reason behind this? Let's explore why these doors do not touch the floor in this article.

1.) Easier to Clean: Public restrooms need frequent cleaning so by having a gap at the bottom, bathroom partitions are much easier to clean.

2.) Emergency Access: In a fully enclosed stall, if a person fainted or had a health problem that left them unconscious, it would take a long time before someone noticed it. This is not the case with restrooms with short doors.

3.) More Affordable: Partitions that don’t extend from the floor to the ceiling don’t have to be custom made to fit a room’s exact measurements and they don’t require as many materials to construct. This makes them considerably more affordable.

4.) Better Ventilation: Floor to ceiling stall door walls would likely require additional ventilation to be added to ease the flow of air through the stalls and throughout the lavatory. Short doors provide proper ventilation.

5.) Check the occupancy: Having a gap at the base of a partition allows people waiting in line to see if a stall is occupied or vacant.

So, now you know the reason behind the short doors of public restrooms. If you have any other reason, feel free to mention that in the comment box. Thank you for reading the article.
